Insert text results in all letters squashed on top of each other

I must have hit some shortcut key or something, but every time I insert a new text object, and begin typing, the letters appear normal in the text box, but then as soon as I return to the report, all of the letters end up on top of each other. They sort of squash together.

That is very strange.... I don't recall but I think there is an option to reset the menu items and default objects.

You can upgrade to CR XI R2 ( version 11.5 ) for free, use your XI Keycode to install:

It's really odd. It's not every report, but just a couple. And if I copy and paste text from somewhere else on the page, I can edit it and it works just fine.

Try going to format text.

On font tab - enter 0 (zero) in Character Spacing exactly

Or

Click a field which is OK, then format paint from good field to bad field
