Changing email recipients in existing broadcasting settings

Hi Experts,

I have broadcasting settings in my system that broadcasts the queries to users on their email adress. I wish to change the email addresses in that but, I am not getting where to changes this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Open the query from query designer. Select Publish -> BEx Broadcaster. Click on the broadcaster setting and change the email addresses in the Recipient(s) tab.

When I am trying to open the Broadcaster by opening the query in Query designer, it is giving me the following erroe.

'Network Access Message: The page cannot be displayed'

Hi,

Can you aceess the queries on portal if yes is your answer then you can change the broadcaster settings from there itself.

If no then please ask your basis team to help on it.They might be able to configure it for you.

Hi,

In RSRT2 do not use

cmd=start_broadcaster70&setting_id=<ZFITRAN_BROADCASTING2>

instead use

cmd=start_broadcaster70&setting_id=ZFITRAN_BROADCASTING2

This will bring you directly to the setting. If you cannot then enter email addresses and save you are either missing authorizations in the backend or you are going beyond the functionality of the broadcaster in ABAP. Then you should open the broadcaster in the portal. Can you do this? The broadcaster in the portal has more functionality.

In the portal you will need either of these roles, please get the portal admin to assign these to you.

Business Explorer: com.sap.ip.bi.business_explorer_showcase

Business Intelligence: com.sap.ip.bi.bi_showcase

By using the above syntax, I am still facing the same probelm.

The concerned report is BW report.

Hi Romil,

1) Open the broadcaster in the portal.

2) In "Settings for Object Type" select the object type being broadcast.

3) Press 'Open' and search for the object.

4) When it is returned you can change the email addresses in the recipient tab.

OR from the backend....

1) transaction RSRT2

2) In the large text box enter cmd=start_broadcaster70&setting_id=<setting technical id>

3) Execute and in the next screen make and save your changes.

Hi Michael,

I executed the Transaction RSRT2 and followed the below steps .

• cmd=start_broadcaster70&setting_id=<ZFITRAN_BROADCASTING2>

• selected Information Broadcasting tab

• selected 'Overview of scheduled settings'.

• Event = 'Direct scheduling in SAP Background processing'

• selected 'choose' button'

• found my broadcasting setting name but, I could not find anything that could let me make any changes in the setting.
