Hello
I am facing an issue in Payroll wage types . Could any one please help me with a proper solution. The issue is Reconfiguration of payroll wage types.
Thanks
Sony
Please be very careful reconfiguring wage types. This practice isn't recommended.
In some countries, it can be relatively easy to do using Table V_512W_D. Be sure you understand exactly what you are changing before you change the configuration.

When we decide to "reconfigure" a WT, either because it hasn't been used in many years or because of some other requirements, we usually do a "Test" copy of that WT to identify the tables that will require to be analyzed.
That WT should be delimited on the same day in all the tables, but be aware that you can't delimit a change of description (so it is usually preferable to create a new WT).

Sony, the best practise is to find a model wagetype in the wagetype catalogue and to copy-create, and change as per requirement. you may do this in transaction PU30 in your dev client. Be careful never to use model wagetypes in payroll as SAP reserve the right to change their characteristics at any time.

Hi
The reconfiguration of wage types can be done.... if you have a problem in the present wage types you can modify them to work as per your requirement or configure new one if they dont meet your requirement.

Hi Sony,
Sure you can reconfigure the Wagetypes but why do you want to reconfigure did you get any new requirement or do you have any problem wit the current wage types which you are using if you have any issue whats the issue that you are facing.
