SPDD & SPAU in same transport request. what will be the impacr when moved

Hi all,

We are maintaining SPDD and SPAU in a same tranport request.

Now we want to move from DEV to Quality system.

Please let me know what will be the impact.

Hello,

just a guess:

Normally you have separate transport requests that will be imported at different times during the upgrade. Your request is imported all at once which means the SPAU part comes to early. The Dictionary (SPDD) part could work well, this is normally the the more important one because errors can lead to data loss. At the end of the upgrade normally the SPAU transport is imported. Because you have it not, the upgrade may ask for manual SPAU correction.

The upgrade looks in the file umodauto.lst for the transports, what you can try, if it is not already the case is to put the same request in that file for SPDD and SPAU. But be aware that then the SPDD part is imported twice.

If you have the possibility i would recommend to copy your QA system to a sandbox and try the upgrade there.

I would not recommend to have SPDD and SPAU in same transport request. Better you use separate transport requests for SPDD and SPAU.

All the objects will be overwritten by this requests on Quality.
