Dynamic Modification Rule

Former Member

I am using a DM rule. the rule is assigned to Inspection plan at header level & the modification is at lot creation.

there are two stages in the rule

Stage one >> Inspection 2 Lots & next stage is stage 2

Stage two >> Skip 20 lots & next stage is stage 1 & If rejected >>stage one.

The problem I am facing is that there is no stage change after rejecting a skip lot. By rule it has to go to stage one of Inspection but it is not going to that stage.

Hi,

Please Assign Dynamic Modification rule to the inspection plan and material combination.

In the inspection plan header u need to assign the rule and the DMR type.

Then it will work.

Revert back with your inputs on the same.

Thanks

Hi,

If the Dynamic modification rule is at

A. lOT CREATION LEVEL

Immediate Dynamic Modification at Inspection Lot Creation

If you set this indicator, the quality level is updated immediately when the inspection lot is created after sample determination.

When updating the quality level, the system assumes that this inspection lot is accepted or that no inspection characteristic is rejected.

Since the system does not maintain a history for the quality level, this operation is irreversible - even if sample calculation or the whole inspection lot is subsequently cancelled. The quality level is only updated again (with a correction of the quality level), if goods acceptance based on the inspection lot quality is later shown to be incorrect after the usage decision for the inspection lot has been made.

Only use this option in the following circumstances:

If inspection lots or inspection characteristics are rarely rejected.

If inspection lots with the same dynamic modification criteria are often created before the previous inspection lots are completed and you want to decrease the inspection scope for subsequent lots.

If you are prepared to accept the consequences of a goods acceptance based on the inspection lot quality not being confirmed.

The system updates the quality level again, when the usage decision for the inspection lot is made. However, unsuitable inspection stages are assigned to all inspection lots created in the period between sample calculation and making the usage decision.

B. Dynamic Modification for Usage Decision

Dynamic Modification at the Usage Decision

Use

If you set this indicator, the system updates the quality level after the usage decision has been made for the inspection lot.

This is the norm.

Please explain the settings you have done for DMR.

Thanks,
