Hi all,
We are on SRM 5.0 SP 12.ECS.
For one of the account assignment catagories,we have not maintained the mapping of product catgeory and G/L account in SPRO.Due to this ,when a shopping cart is getting created in SRM,there is no G/L account deafulted for this product catgory when the item in the shopping cart has this product category and shopping cart can be ordered w/o G/L account!Further if we try to create a PO for this SC,w/o a G/L a/c system allows us to do that too!!!!
Can someone pls clarify why doesn't the system ask for account assignment /G/L account to be entered before ordering the shopping cart???
To order a Shopping cart the GL account is not mandatory. It is assumed that the SC is being created by the employee and it mainly concentrates only the SC item data and the employee need not have the knowlede of the GL account.
You can make it mandatory by implementing the doc_check_badi.
Ideally the SC can be orederd without the GL account data which would create a held PO. Purchaser will need to enter this data
to complete the PO
