It actually depends on size n scope of implementation, the bigger the company the longer it takes. It also has to go through the implementation methodology from scoping to Go-Live.
As i am new to sap hr..could you please tell me in details if you have worked on some implementation project for a small or big company how much time does it take???

There is no rough estimate. You can implement it in 6 months but it could also take 2 years, depending on the scope of the project and the level of data. It also depends if the client already uses SAP or is new to ERPs.
