Upgrade SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0

Hi All,

we are currently plan a migration of our SRM 5.0 to a version 7.0. Could you please give me a feedback if you were facing about critical situation during/after upgrade.

Experience of all will be appreciated.

Hi Luppo,

The value of upgrade can be easily found in the service marketplace, http://service.sap.com/srm, here you will find lots of details surrounding the new and enhanced features of the SRM 7.0 release.

As some functions of SRM are different from SRM 7.0 to previous releases it is best to perform lots of testing prior to any go live, also you would need to choose whether you will go with Portal framework or Netweaver Business Client as a UI due to the inability of SRM 7.0 to use any previous ITS technology. But there is lots oto read, I sugegst you do this and then get back with more specific concerns rather than generic statements as it is then more likely that the community will provide their opinion in your scenario.
