Why is source list data (me01 transaction) in red color?

Hi!!

From transaction me01, sometimes the data for a material in a plant is written in red color. What does it mean?

Is there any problem?

Hi,

Whenever you enter the VALID FROM and VALID TO for future date the record line will be in black color

else this will be in RED color and yes RED color doesn't meant,the record was wrong.

please do click check button each time after maintaining the data to check correctness.

If the data is ok the you will get message

"All source list records OK"

Now please check in your system and if it is working fine....

Hi,

Red always means incomplete data(error).

In a source list(ME01), if you enter all the details such as validity start and end date, with or without source of supply, Porg, either fix or block indicator, then it means you have provided the sufficient data. It should work fine.
