Does SAP PLM 7 include QM?

Hi Everyone,

Am currently working on PS solution which is part of SAP PLM 7.Am now interested in enhancing my skillset and was thinking of learning SAP QM(have overview of it).

However,i have few doubts here.

1.Does SAP PLM 7 include SAP QM? If no,would it be included in near future.??

I would like to understand from the experts if it would be advisable to invest learing QM given the way SAP PLM market is evolving(because QM is part of generic PLM process).Please advise.

Hi,

Since you are already working in PLM 7, you might have seen some parts of QM in it. May be, it is more focused on the PLM aspects rather than the std QM in R/3.

QM is a small but effective module more applicable in Pharma, Food, Chemical & some areas like: Steel, Defence etc.

More often, it is clubbed with PP (PP guy takes care of QM!)
