To stop MRP for one week

Hello gurus,

We run MRP on ECC6.0

Our plants will have one week shut down, so

we need to stop some deliveries being planned in MRP for the week of the shutdowns - all goods inwards will be closed.

What is the best way to achieve it?

The following options I see:

1. The mass changes for all relevant materials u2013 to set MRP type ND (no planning);

2. To do some settings in SPRO u2013 which one(s) ?

3. ?

Thank you!

Hello mr bin.

Requirement is not clear, but if i got your point, you want to avoid mrp proposals (scheduls lines, planned orders) delivery date to fall within a particular week, during whic the factory is not working/receiving material.

The best way to do that IMHO is to close the plant calendar using transaction SCAL, creating a special rules for NON WORKING days with period = factory closing week.

Please consider that if you have more than one calendar ( ie. one plant calendar in plant customizing and one production calendar in production work centers) you need to close both.

Regards

Mauro

Hi Mr. Bin,

You dont need to change any configuration in SPRO or change any master data. Simply turn off the batch job for MRP in SM37 for the week in question and reschedule the batch job again after shutdown.

HI

Simply dont run the MRP for the week and if scheduled in batch then reschedule in MDBT after the completion of shutdown.

Or you can deactivate MRP in OMDU for the required plant in SPRO.

Please check at your end
