Hi,
I Upgraded 8.8 PL 10 to PL17.. and it was working fine in all level before upgrade...
but after upgrade its not showing any company in Company Selection window.
so i try to connect with server using 'sa' user credentials but it gives me an error like this
connection failed:
SQL state:'28000'
SQL server error:18456
[Microsoft][SAL Native Client][SQL Server]Login failed for user'sa'
connection faild:
SQLState:'08004'
SQL Server: 4060
server rejected connection;Access to selected database has been denied
My system details
Product Version:SAP B1 8.8 PL17
Operating System:windows server 2003 R2 32 bit
Server :MSSQL 2005 developer edition:
client still awaiting to upgrade PL17....
I tried everything regaring Remote connections settings in SQL side....
but no resolution..
i deployed licence file also...
Looking shed some lite on this....

hi,
first and foremost, you need to make sure that you are connect to your server. try ping, also try if you can open the B1 share from your server. if you are connected to your server then from the selection window, the SBO companies should be visible here.

It should be display but it is not.
and it was working fine with PL10 but after upgrade its giving problem.
and it shows B1-SIM-COMMON in the list of databases list at first.
This might be because of incomplete DIAPI upgrade...
this was identified by my development team that there is some upgrade issue..
Here what i am not understanding is since Upgrade wizard shows SBOCOMMON and DIAPI is successfully upgraded.
But actually its not, so this could be a bug in the upgrade wizard...
Similar case happened in this particular environment...
Now the solution here we got is after uninstall/Install of DIAPI and client it resolved..

if you are unable to login in sql on server, please check first

after resolve this issue, you can login to SAP, if face any problem try to reinstall SAP.
