SAP Download Manager does not start after installation

Hi,

i justed tried to install sap download manager as described here:

https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/002006825000000233132001D

using java http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_12/index.html

installation itself was no problem but if I start the download manager only the color setings from windows

change in blue and back to my own nothing else.

System is Win7 32bit

Are you intentionally using such an old JDK?

Hi Markus,

yes because of the proxy problem as discribed in the installation guide.

Should I try it with a newer one?

You can also use JDK 6.x. That "installation guide" still notes Java 1.3 - so it's very old.

now it work using JDK 6.25! Now I just have to find the right connecting settings and everything is fein!
