While I am trying to install SAP -IDES EHP4 ECC6 , i am trying to run in su - ora<sid> ./RUNINSTALLER

i got this error ,can you please help me out.

Error occurred during initialization of VM

java.lang.ExpectionInInitializerError

This is probably the wrong forum for such questions.

I will still venture a guess. Is there a reason you are running the installer as your DB user? Typically they are with root or sidadm. Not the orasid user. It could be that the orasid user's enviroment variables are not set correctly. Look at your java_home directory and see that variable is defined correctly. Also that the java level is correct for what you are attempting to install. I assume this is AIX since you are using su commands.

Also, It could also be that your DISPLAY variable is not set as well and/or you do not have your Xwindows app running.
