MRP Process - System behaviour

Hello,

I have one query regarding system MRP behaviour.

In our system for XYZ material is present with Manual re order point planning and reorder point is 4 PC. So ideally PR should be generated when 4 stock reduces further to 3.Also the Maximum stock level is 6 is maintained in Material master data of XYZ material.

Now when currently my stock level is 4 for xyz mateial and i have resevation against maintence order for this material

on 30.05.2011 for 16 PC and also on 06.06.2011 for 16 Pc again.

So when quanity gets reduced from 4 to 3 then system should gnerate a PR ( as re order point is 4)

For how much qunatity PR will be generated and how it will be issued. 1) Will system will order 35 PC as 16 + 16 PC are already required and reservation has been made for same plus 3 more for replenishment so that total comes out to be 6( max level reached again)

Or there will be some different behaviour. Please share your knowledge for same.

HI HIMANSHU,

In case of manual reporder point planning with MRP type VB, system will not consider the external requirements in planning so your reservation will not put any demand here.

In case of Reporder point planning , system considers current stock and compares it with reorder point . If stock falls below reporder point system pgenreate requirements as per Lot size maintained.
