hello,

Please try...

1) rename profile to an os file length shorter than 60 char.

2) upload the file with the profile import function.

3) maintain the profile with transaction RZ10.

4) save and activate the profile.

5) rename the profile back as before step 1)

after these action changes should be available for the next system

startup.

related note:

#1000897 - RZ10 profile import: Maximum path length = 60 characters

Hi Stanislav!

Let me notice that your question is a little bit confusing, so in order to clarify let me comment:

A) If the share name is "
sap-trans\usr...", then it is not supported to rename it to "
sap-t\usr..." as this would imply a change in the host name (check [SAP note 8307|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/8307]).

B) If the real name share is "
server\sap-trans\...", then I do not see a clear problem by renaming to "
server\sap-t\..." so the below lines would apply.

Apart from the way to import/export profiles, please take into account that the share name should be maintained in the Cluster Administrator, and this will affect some parameters in your profiles (you can e.g. call transaction SE38 and run RSPARAM to see all your parameters; then export the result by typing %pc in the OK-code and press enter, so that you can search the string "sap-trans" to know all the parameters that you need to change). You should also check and correct your SAP services, as the definition for the non-clustered instances is generally referred to that path. In this sense you should check point 3 of [note 142100|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/142100]; to summarize it:

    1) Log into the NT machine as <SID>adm.
    2) Run 'sapstartsrv.exe' (from the correct path!).
    3) Select "Uninstall Service + Unregister COM Interface"
    4) Specify your SID and System Number (NR) and click ok.
    5) Select "Install Service + Register COM Interface + Start Service"
    6) Specify your SID and System Number (NR).
    7) Specify your startprofile (use the 'browse' button).
Please, use the good path here too.
😎 Specify your user as (domain\<SID>adm or workgroup\<SID>adm).
    9) Specify the passsword for <SID>adm.
   10) Click OK.

Then reboot your operating system.

I hope that this sheds some light into your concern.

Cheers!!
