Issue in acivating Cube

Hi,

I have addded on field and its two navigation attributes were checked in the Cube. I have loaded the data for the same. and now I have removed that infoobject and correcsponding Nav. attributes after deleting data from cube. But while activating the cube its not activating. the process of activation continues. But the Cube is not activating. And If i try to go in the manage tab it says Object is no more usable.

And after activation it gives message as Object 0PS_C04 could not be activated

Message no. R7I028

Please suggest how to rectify this?

Hi,

Did you try correcting the error from RSRV itself?

After executing the checks when you come back to the RSRV screen it gives an option to correct the errors as well.

I have done the same. But no use.

error is in the dimension table.

One of the dimension table is in inactive state. I have tried to activate it explicitely but it gives error and says Enhancement category for table missing

Hi

check infoobject mentioned in error message for any problems.

RSRV can be used to check and fix problems there.

try activating cube using FM RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE.

Couple of things you could check.

1. After you removed the infoobject and activated - check the status of the tables for the Infocube in SE11.

You should be able to go into the table and see the data elements - by tables I mean the Dimension tables / Fact tables etc.

In some cases these tables get deactivated and ou will have to manually adjust them through SE14 - or ask your BASIS to do the same if this is the issue.

2. After your activation of the cube fails - look at the system log in SM21 and look for any ORA Errors ( if you are on oracle of course!!)

3. Try running the FM mentioned previously in background and check the job log.

RSRV also doesnt help.

Table /BI0/D0PS_C045 (Error adjusting the database) Dimension table doesnt present in the database.

How to rectify this.

Try activating the info cube using the Functional Module: RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE

Give the inputs as below

1) I_INFOCUBE: infocube tech name

2) I_OBJVERS: A

Execute and then check your infocube.

Hi,

First u go to that particular Infoobject in Infoobjects tab in DWB and check where-used-list and take necessary action. After that just logout from your user id and get in again and see what's happening......?
