hi,

The step by step approach would be :

first narrow down the mismatch to a particular date range, which date range data was not loaded in BW properly.

goto R/3 system and find in the base tables the number of records created/changed for the particular date range.

Take a dump of BW data for the date range selection.

Take a dump of R/3 for the same date range selection.

compare the data and find out the documents which were missed in BW.

Arvind.

Hi Manusath,

1. First check if you are doing Full/Delta load to BW. And also check in which mode you are checking the data in RSA3 in source system. It is possible that you are checking data in Full mode in Source system & you are doing delta IP to BW & comparing only the delta IP loaded in BW with FUll in Source system.

2. Also check if you have any Selection filters in Infopackage which might be filtering out some records.

3. If are ok with deleting data in BW, just delete all the PSA data & do a FULL load and then compare the data with Full mode extraction in RSA3.

NOTE: Also note that if you are comparing the data directly with any of the datatargets, then you will also have to check if all the mappings are correct and also you are not filtering any records using some routines in transformation/DTP etc.

Hope it helps!

Hi,

If you cannot drill it down to date range, try to do it with the help of some other factors in the key of the data target.

If that is also not possible, take some small sample data say some SKUs, customer, etc. and ofcourse the smallest available time dimension and check the same selections in the R/3 tables.

Try to match the data from both the sources and spot the exact differences.

Now that you have the differences, check in the routines / codes in BI side while updating to the data target. In case of use of Z extractors try to check the code of the function module used.

You will find the reason for the differences after the above steps.

Hi,

This is such a broad question.

You have to specify what datasource, application area etc. you have problems with.

There are a number of things that can go wrong at each stage of the ETL process.

Please elaborate.
