What Office version are you using?
Typically when we encounter C++ runtime errors, it has to do with how the GUI is hooked into Office and the call from the GUI is having trouble executing the Office package to open and display what you are attempting to view. Sometimes after an Office update or Windows update we see these. When we do we have a process, not always the best, but it seems to work.
Run a SAP GUI instalaltion check will point out issues. If it doesn't, we then normally uninstall the SAP GUI. Clean up the registry with anything SAP related. Perform a repair of Office and then re-install the SAP GUI. This 99% of the time resolves our C++ runtime errors.
