Installation ERROR during SAP Netweaver 7.02 ABAP Trial
I went through exactly(!) the step-by-step installation process by Faisal Altaf.
/people/faisal.altaf2/blog/2011/01/20/step-by-step-installation-guide-for-sap-netweaver-as-abap-702-sp6-32-bit-trial-version
Oracle virtual box
Windows Server 2003 EN
J2SDK 1.4.2_09 (same version as Faisal said earlier but it seems the problem is around the java vm, I think)
But at the ABAP installation process, after the 37 phase, the GUI always disappear and there is an error message in the log file as well, meanwhile the HDD is working onwards something.
It's very annoying me, I tried to install the whole system at least five times, but always the same problem.
Unfortunately I don't know the solution...
PLEASE help me!
Here is the part of the error code from the log file (because the 15000 characters limit):

J2SDK 1.4.2_09 is quite old. Have you tried with new JDK ?

I tried the newest version of JDK, 6.0 and the version 5.0 as well.
But always the same problem, no matter what version of Java I use.
I tried to install under VM VirtualBox, so it should be working, but unfortunately, it don't.
Once in my life I installed this SAP system successfull, so I think my laptop works perfectly.
It is an Asus F3SV notebook.

Hi,
please, use only recommended versions:
https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/716604
Last recommended version - 1.4.2_31
Best Regards,
Aleh
Hi Freddiboy
JDK 6.0 is not compatible for SAP Netweaver 7.02 ABAP Trial. You can use the JRE 1.4.2.x or 1.5.0.x for Installation.
Download the JDK 1.4.2.x or 1.5.0.x and first install in the system then try to start the server installation.

Hi,
So, I used this link below:
/people/faisal.altaf2/blog/2011/01/20/step-by-step-installation-guide-for-sap-netweaver-as-abap-702-sp6-32-bit-trial-version
I followed step-by-step the instruction of course the Java installation as well (1.4.2_09).
It is a recommended version for install.
Faisal Altaf had successfully install this system under these conditions. So I haven't idea anymore.
"SAP NetWeaver 7.02 ABAP Developer Edition System Requirements:
JRE 1.4.2.x or 1.5.0.x for Installation "
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/library/uuid/80db43c2-9ee5-2d10-de8e-8547de363868
Ok, I can try to install with the 1.4.2_31 version, but I think it doesn't matter.
Hi,
I hear about this problem before but I haven't any idea now what can cause this situation in the system.
Perhaps you should try to negotiate with the Max DB. Try to start/close it manually.
If the installation process occured well, perhaps the DB blocked by a user program like Antivirus or Firewall.
But these are presumptions only.
If there will be some information about solving the problem I contact you.
Sincerelly yours,
Gábor

Hi Levent,
Please check in Start -> Run -> 'services.msc' if the SAPxxx_xx service is registered and running.
Also you could re-register the SAP service by running the sapstartsrv.exe under ..\usr\sap\XXX\DVE..\exe\
Provide details like SID, instance number, path of start profile and .\SAPServiceXXX credentials.
Regards,
Srikishan
