batch to batch transfer

Hi All,

I am having batch no 01042011 for material X which has stock zero in the month of April,

and having batch no 05052011 for the same material having 10kg stock in the month of May.

Now, I want to transfer May month batch to April month batch to complete my open sales order.

I tried this by using MB1B but it is showing stock deficit error.

If i transfer this batch to current date then it is not allowing me to do PGI.

My client want to transfer this in any how condition.

How to do ?.................

Hi

Transfering the new batch to previous month may not be possible since stock of this new batch was not available as on previous month. What u can try is, transfer this new batch to old batch as on current date. Then once the stock comes into the april batch, again do the transfer posting of that batch to the same batch (April to April) as of previous month, but not before the date of production of april batch.

The above solution may be helpful.

Dear Sachin,

i tried your solution but it was not working fine.

While going through SDN, i found another one solution and that solved my problem.

first we have to consume that current month batch using 201 mvmt type in current month and then again using same MB1A with mvmt type 202 reverse the stock in previous month date with previous month batch number.
