Solution manager Upgrade form SP20 to Sp23

Hi ,

I have downloaded the SP23 stack files . But could any one tell me how the files will be uncared ?

I have put them in /usr/sap/trans do i have to uncar every file manually or is dere any way this can be done automatically ?

Hi

If the files are less than 1o GB,Go to SPAM and load package from fronend and locate the SPAM files you need not to manually uncar the files.

But if the files are larger than 10 GB,You can directly uncar the Support Pack files directly in to the EPS/in folder. try with the below command

SAPCAR -xvf <File-Name.CAR/SAR> -R /usr/sap/trans

You must uncar them in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in using command sapcar -xvf "*.sar". This command will uncar all files.

Don't forget that after uncar the files, they'll be uncompressed under /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/EPS/in.

SAPCAR will uncar the files under a new /EPS/in.
