Asset deactivated it self

Hi,

I created an asset master data "100" and erroneously posted wrong amount on it. I adjusted this posting on other asset account. The Asset 100 got deactivated automatically after adjusting entry. Now I want to post on this asset, but it's not possible.

How it has deactivated it self and how can I activate it again?

I tried to enter new capitalization date. I get warning that it has consequences on depreciation.

Can anybody help me, what to do here, in order to avoid any problem later.

Thanks

Intisar

Hi,

How should I remove the deactivation? Is there possibilty to remove it or I have to write new capitalization date?

Has the change of capitalization date any impact on business process?

Thanks

Hi,

the setting for deactivation of asset resides in transaction type. If you look at the setting for retirement in IMG (AO74) for example in transaction type 200 or 210, there is a flag 'deactivate fixed asset' and that flag causes the asset to be deactivated automatically. So if you don't want asset deactivated automatically simply remove the flag. For current asset your option is to reverse the retirement (AB08).
