Can we use variable values used in one planning function in another???

Hi Experts,

I have a scenario.. I am working on Mark's BW IP file upload solution.

The first step in my planning seq is uploading the file for Fiscal Year entered by user.

The next step is copy the data loaded in first step into another version.

But when i tested the planning seq, the second step acutally reads all data in the cube and tries to copy.

How can i avoid this??

I use two aggregation levels for each step but with same fieds.

Is there a possibilty the first step can pass the user input values to the second step??

Thanks,

DV

Hello,

Why do not you try to use same variable in filter for both steps?

Thanks.

Hi DVMC,

if you using two different aggregation levels with same field, then you can use same filter values in both the levels.

otherwise use only one level for functions and create sequence in it.

Also you can add filter for new version in 2nd level which is copied in first step.
