Won't find licence service

Hi all,

I'm completely new to SAP B1 and I'm trying to install on to my laptop (win7 pro). I have found that I have to run the installs as the admin user (which is fine). But I cannot seem to get it to install properly.

The steps I have taken so far:

Installed Server Tools (seemingly successful)

Trying to install Server Package - I get asked for the SiteUser, Password, Licence Server - Port.

I'm unsure what I need to enter into the licence server section? I have tried both PC name and Local I.P address for my laptop but both fail...

Should I be looking somewhere specific for the licence server or is there a specific service I should be looking out for?

Welcome you post on the forum.

After installing server tool, have you started the licensing server?

HI

In that license server,you need to give the IP address of the licensed server which you r going to use....

For example,if i am using the server which has IP address of 156.34.24.25,So i need to give that IP address to the license server.

Thanks guys, I got it working in the end!

Would you believe all it took was for me to restart my laptop!!

I've logged in to the SAP demonstration database, I was wondering what is the standard username and password for administrative rights for this database?

I've gone in using

BLANK

but it seems I cant access everything?

The admin user name is manager. Try password manager.
