Release for automatic PO

Hi,

I have PO's created automatically in SAP, we want the system to release all the PO as soon as it created automatically. But when a PO is created manually or the automatically created PO is modified then the system should trigger notification to the manager. Let me know what settings need for this setup.

You can use two different document types for automatic PO and manual PO and release strategy will have characteristics as document type and version. Your class should have characteristics as document type and version both that is CEKKO- BSART and CEKKO- REVNO. For this you will have to activate version management.

Say if you have docuemnt type as ZA ( for automatic )and ZM ( for manual).

If PO created with doc type ZA and version is 00000000 release strategy should not get trigger.

If PO created with doc type ZA and version is 00000001, 00000002...... ( version 1 will get tirggered if print output is taken for version 0) release strategy will get trigger

If PO created with doc type ZM and version >=00000000 release strategy should get trigger.

note : in cl24n you will update the value of characteristics version as: ( For 0 it will be 00000000, for 1 it will be 00000001 and so on).

Hi,

Create separate purchasing group for automatic PO and for manual PO.dont Maintain the automatic Purchasing group in CL20N so it will not go for release. and manualy created PO will go for release.

Hi,

For the Automatic PO creation you can go for the By Pass release so that PO wonu2019t go for the release at all.

Or

If the manager should get the notification it can be done only through Work flow. Check with your WF team.

Hi,

Could you pls brief about "By Pass release"?. My requirement is that the auto PO should get released immediately after the creation and the notification need tobe sent only for creating manual PO for that document type and if they modify any of the po's that was created automaticallly...

Hi,

You have following options:

Option-1:=>

Do not keep "automatic PO Document Type" in the release characteristics of document type (CEKKO with BSART)

So when you create automatic PO with automatic PO Document Type,release strategy will not trigger.

Option-2:=>

If "automatic PO Document Type" is included in the release characteristics of document type (CEKKO with BSART, then for your automatic automation, go for workflow.

You can have seperate Pur.grp for Auto PO & dont include in your rel.strategy & include other Pur.Grp

For info to manager u have go for Workflow only

HI,

You have 2 different requirements here, firstly you don't want release strategy for automatic PO - This can be achieved by creating separate PO doc type.

But if the same (automatically created PO) is changed then it should trigger release strategy. There is a conflict here.

And i dont think it will be possible.
