De-clutter the Forums page

Hi,

if you look at a forum page in SCN, e.g. [BIOD Forum|; you can see that there's a lot of clutter-

many navigation bars, breadcrumbs, heading, dashboard, announcements, top 3 contributors, ads, forum options and then at the very end the actual threads (which I have to scroll down to view).

For users this can be very distracting and surely could be imporved.

Some ideas would be-

enable option to hide/show some panels (e.g. click to hide the announcements, click again to expand).

make the announcements panel less prominent (e.g. like [this example|https://www.sme.sap.com/irj/sme/community/collaboration/forums] )

Welcome to the club. You are certainly one of many here who want a de-cluttered look. Especially those annoying elephant-sized Ads.

But unfortunately, all these fervent requests are falling on deaf ears!
