Sir,

What are the advantages we will get by using QM module in SAP for the following areas

1. Forecasting and planning area

2. Customer Service area

SAP is providing any standard report from these areas

There is not nothing much left apart from inspection type 03,13 or 04 in production planing.I am not sure about forecast.

2. Customer Service area

I know about CS ,you can have a CS type of notification that can be equivalent to sort of CRM module where you can handle customer queries & problem.

Planning uses the avg gr time in the QM view for planning purposes. It also will take into consideration the end date of the inspection lot for determining material availability date. You can also make settings in config to allow QI stock to be available for ATP.

Hi,

In CS area, there are several Reports that can be linked to QM module. Like: Functional location monitoring, Notifications etc.

However, in Forecasting - Planning QM has little to do. Regards, Krishna
