Hi Experts,

As we try todo transferposting facing the error which is below.

Is any one knows how to get rid of the error "Data of preceding document was not transmitted".

No activity performed .

By using MB1B we are creating Transfer posting.

Explain it in more detail with some technical information like movement type .

I guess you are referencing a document when doing your movement which cannot be referenced

w are performing transfer posting from one storage location to another storage location which is WM /Hum managed by using MB1B.

Procedure, try this

Did you setup a default vendor for storage location B

First create HU with packed material in storage loaction A, then in T-Code VLMOVE with process '0006(link with movement type 311)', enter HU no,and fill destination storage loaction B in 'material' tab, then just only click 'post goods movement', otherwise will show you error 'Data of preceding document was not transmitted'(messageID VL565) if click 'create delivery'. if contrary, both 'post goods movement' and 'create delivery' are ok.

You can maintain an indicator that makes information about preceding documents in this delivery available under delivery type in Customizing. For some characteristics of this indicator, the type of preceding document and the related document and item numbers must be transmitted to delivery creation. At least one of these parameters is missing.

Procedure

Check the Customizing settings regarding the preceding document indicator and, if necessary, the transmission parameters for this transaction.

SPRO - Logistics General - Handling Unit Management - Materials Management - HU Requirement for Storage Locations and Default Values for Deliveries.

Select the plant and go to the storage location.

Enter the Sales org, Distribution channel, Shipping point, Vendor and Customer.

So then the entry which you create through inventory management will create using this customer for outbound delivery and vendor for inbound delivery, if there is none specified.

Now you can use MB1B to create the delivery for 311 movement type.
