SAP STARTUP failed

Hi experts,

we installed databse in one machine and CI seerver in another machine.

i am trying to starting databse from CI iam getting below error

startsap

Checking SMS Database

-


Database is not available via R3trans

Database SMS must be started on remote server

Log on to remote server and start database

But databse is started in DB machine.

kindly give your suggestion to startsap

The error is self explained.

Database is not available via R3trans

Database SMS must be started on remote server

Hi Vasu,

Can you paste your trans.log file info after running the command R3trans -d with SIDADM.

Moreover please check listener is up or not on DB side ...

You can check this with lsnrctl status

Dear Vasu,

Please make sure that your database server is up dan running well.

After that you can check your SAP application connection (connection to SAP database) using R3trans :

Login to CI and run as <sid>adm user and run command R3trans -x

Example :

host:<sid>adm 3> R3trans -x

This is R3trans version 6.14 (release 700 - 05.03.09 - 08:28:00).

R3trans finished (0000).
