We are currently using Step Sequences in NW701. However I am a bit nervous that I can find no mention of Step Sequences in Carsten's book "BRFplus Business Rule Management for ABAP Applications".
Is there a reason for this ? Are Step Sequences being phased out or replaced by something else ? If we use Step Sequences in NW701 will they continue to work when we upgrade to NW702 and beyond ?
Thanks & regards,
Grogan
Carsten, thanks for your insights. I will take a look at Rulesets to see whether we can use those instead.

Hi Grogan,
To be honest, I do not like the expression type too much and I see many ways of better solving rules challenges than using Step Sequence, such as the ruleset with its rules as of NW 702. But this expressoin type will not be phased out and is still available in NW 702 and NW 703.
In case we replace it (what is not planned today) we would provide an automatic conversion into another expression type.
Regards,
Carsten
