Default Login Language is always English

Hallo to all,

I’ve just downloaded the "SAP NetWeaver 04s ABAP" and installed it very well

My problem now is that I can't change the Language to German. When i select in the login Screen the Language = "DE", I receive the Error Message: "Use one of the installed Languages" (or something like that.)

Is there a possibility to set the Default Language permanently to German? May be if I change a configuration File.

I've tried many Transactions to Change the Language but nothing is going right.

I remember a friend of mine had the same problem and he modifies a configuration File, but he didn’t know which one because some time has past.

If someone has an Idea please let me know.

Thanks and a nice day.

Bye

Seraphim

Hi Seraphim,

Usually systems come with 2 languages installed 'DE' where D is German and E is English..

You need to check the following parameters...

zcsa/installed_languages = DE

zcsa/system_language = D

The first parameter indicate installed languages, letter "D" should be there in order to be able to logon in German, the second parameter indicate the defaulr login language, in your case it should be german or "D"

Hope this help!

Juan

Hi,

you need to edit the instance profile under /sapmt/<SID>/profile.

The name of the file is <SID>_<hostname>_<System_number>.

Add the following parameter:

zcsa/system_language=D

Restart SAP and logon.

Hi,

I don't propose to change profiles on OS-level.

Logon in English and change the profiles via transaction RZ10.
