Hi All,

I am having a requirement in a BOPP film mfg. client where the once the JUMBO roll is produced I want the system to propose me the most optimum slitting of the JUMBO roll based on the demand lying,so that least rejection is there.

Please advice whether the R/3 would be able to do this OR I need to implement APO for this & which specific module of APO would be suitable for this.

Hi Vivek,

In my opinion, the right solution for this is 'Multiple output planning' of APO PPDS solution. Here PPDS heuristics plans optimum sizing of JUMBO rolls for different sized output requirement.

Thanks Raghav,

But by any chance as after the Jumbo Roll production is done for different size to accomadate by any chance can I manage this with ECC it self as APO would mean additional cost
