Acknoledgement PI to PI not working

an external partner sends a message to our PI 7.0 system. He sends via XI-Adapter (and Internet), and requests an acknoledgement. The normal message is routed via plain HTTP from our PI to another target system (I dont know if this is important for the problem).

Our PI tries to send the acknoledgment back, but fails. Trace see at end of this thread. PI evaluates the hop list and tries to send a message back to that external integration server. Where do I have to configure that external server ? In the SLD ?

I entered a receiver XI channel for the relevant service, and even configured a receiver agreement for that acknoledgement, but the error message remains the same.

We have other message types which are sent fine to this partner (via HTTP/S). So I would like to tell our PI to use RFC Destination xyz for sending ack messages that integration server. But where ?

Trace (I replaced the IS string with an example because customer data):

- <SAP:ReliableMessaging xmlns:SAP="" xmlns:SOAP="" SystemAckRequested="false" SystemErrorAckRequested="true" ApplicationAckRequested="true" ApplicationErrorAckRequested="true" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
