Hello Gurus,

I never used ERM before. Can anyone please clear my doubt regarding:

1. Do we need to avoid using PFCG if we implement ERM ?

2. Do we need to create all the roles directly in ERM or first need to create them through PFCG and then import in ERM ?

Please advise

Regard's

Salman

Hi Salman,

The concept of ERM is based on centralization of enterprise wide role management.

ERM enable standardization of procedure for:

Defining

Developing

Testing

and Creating role.

Hence while using concept of ERM, we need to avoid using PFCG.

Can you please advise How to proceed with the testing of the roles during implementation ?

Hello Salman,

Have the test scripts prepared by someone working with the functional team. Essentially the person requesting for the role creation/change (in your case, which is implementation, the functional lead of the modules OR the superusers) would be the best to test the same for you as he/she can test the same for the functionality needed when the request was created.

Hope it helps. If you are looking for something in particular, please share the same.

Regards,

Hersh.

Hello Hersh,

1. Can Unit/Integration/regression testing be achieved using ERM ?

2. How to setup test users in ERM designed roles (Like I used to create test users thru CUA before for testing in Dev and QAS for roles designed thru PFCG) ?

Sorry, I am new to this tool.

Regard's,

Salman
