Hi experts,
We we try to delete an appset on the BPC administration, the process is running around 10 minutes and finally returns the log "Can not connect to the ABAP server. Time Limit exeeded". After this error the appset still exists.
We also tried to execute the program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT with the flag "Detele the appset" and the program returns an exeption "UJ0_EXEPTION" -->"You do not have authorization to perform task ( Task Name: Appset )". If we enter on the administración of the appset we previousle tried to deleted just the applications have been deleted, the other components of the appset are still "alive".
How can we clean the appsets we don´t use?

As suggested above, you need to check the tasks allocated to you in Planning & Consolidation Administration. Please check if you have 'Manage models' and 'Manage Environment' access in the the task profile assigned to you. If you have it and also the rights in BI/BW as mentioned above, then you should be able to delete appset(environment) and applications (connections).

Hi David,
If your basis or you don't remember the user that is the BPC_SYSADMIN you can also enter to transaction se38 an enter to UJA3_Write_Sys_Users, there you can change the BPC_SYSADMIN. and then try to delete the appset with that user.

You might not have required task profile. But also the other case may be that if you want to delete apshell from backend(BW) system, you need to login with user having right authorization i.e. login with the user that installed apshell or consult your BASIS person to find out that user and then try deleting from UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT
