Activating Records Management for Project Systems

Former Member

I am trying to use Records Management to create records against

business objects in Real Estate, Project Systems and Plant Maintenance.

For Real Estate, I found the path I used to create records was:

SPRO> Display IMG > Flexible Real Estate Management > General Settings

for Master Data and Contract > Document Management > Records Management

> Make Basic Settings for Records Management

Is there something similar to activate records in project systems and

plant maintenance?

Dear Amanda,

You can use BAPIs to create records but configuration of what kind of structure, records should have & which nodes the objets have to be attached & also attachment of objects(I expect you need something which will attach objects autmatically in the background) have to be designed. You can have buttons on your application screen to do these things in background using BAPIs.

This should help...

Integrating a Pushbutton for Navigating to the Record from an Application Transaction in SAP NW Folder Management

Hi,

I do not think there is any node in IMG for PS.

May be you can try using case management to link between project and record management.

Thanks

Thank you, Abdul.

If I were to utilize case management, how would I go to set that up?

Thanks!

Hi,

You can check Tcode SCASE and SCASE_CUSTOMIZING.

SPRO >> SAP NetWeaver >> Application Server -> Basis Services -> Case Management

Please also read sap help. Go to sap help portal and search for case management which will get you the link.

Can you explain your business scenario, where you feel case management / records management are necessary.

Thanks
