SAP Error :IW-338

Former Member

Hi Gurus,

After running the monthly batch job for IP30, user is getting the following error message in the spool for a particular Maintenance Plan

"IW 338:No operations w/ valid maintenance packages available in maintnce plan XXXXXX"

Now based on the message text, it seems that the package validity might be the issue but I have checked the package validity and this package is valid from 21.03.2011 and the batch job for IP30 has run on 10.05.2011. So I am unable to proceed further.

Kindly help me to investigate the cause of this error message.

Thanks & regards

Hi,

For that Particular Maintenance Plan, no operations has been checked against the Maintenance Package.

Go to that Maintenance Plan & check the Task list assigned to that. Then Go to that task list. Go to Assignment of operations to Maintenance Package & check whether operations have been assigned to package or not.

Hi Maheswaran,

Thanks for your reply.

But as communicated in my initial post, the operation is already assigned to a maint. package and I have verified the validity of the maint. package and everything seems to be ok. But still the error has come after running IP30.

Hi,

Have you tried in IP10?

Just check the Diagonosis of that error message.

Also check the Validity date of Task List.

HI.

pl read following and resolve it

No operations w/ valid maintenance packages available in maintnce plan

200000104

Message no. IW338

Diagnosis

You want to generate an order from a maintenance plan, whose task list

does not contain any operations with valid maintenance packages.

The order that you want to generate would not contain any operations.

This is not allowed.

System Response

The system does not generate an order.

Procedure

Make sure that the maintenance packages for the task list are valid for

the planned date of the maintenance call. You can do this subsequently

by using the back-dated change numbers.

Hello

Please check the Key date (STTAG) of Task List which should be fall after maintenace Plan Start date.If Not then you need to shift your Start up date of Maintenance plan according to Key date (STTAG) of Task List so this date fall after maintenace Plan Start date
