Hi,
We are on SRM 7.0 and ECC 6.0. We are using Netweaver 7.01 (SP7) for our portal.
We are able to login into the portal, create a shopping cart and order it. However after ordering the shopping cart, when we come back to check its status, we are unable to open the detailed cart that had just been ordered. Even if we select the cart and click on the u2018displayu2019 button, the cart does not open up.
However other buttons like u2018export to excelu2019, u2018print previewu2019 etc are working fine.
Pl provide inputs.
Regards

Hi,
Is there a litte Java error at the bottom corner of the screen when you try to open the SC ? Please upgrade your Java to the latest version.
There are also some other possibilites:
Are you switching protocol from http to https or vice-versa while calling backend systems from portal? If so, you should maintain the same protocol (http or https), avoiding to switch them. This may lead some inconsistent behaviours, like this one that you are facing.
Otherwise, if portal and backend systems are running in the same protocol, read the following:
1) Please check your system alias in the portal. It should be SAP_SRM. If you have created your own system alias, please maintain the following entries:
- In Customizing: SAP Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define System Landscape: In column 'System Alias f. POWL Navigation', please enter your newly created system alias;
- In table /SAPSRM/V_PORT_C (with transaction SM30), please maintain the following value: Port of the SAP Portal (Internal).
2)To solve the issue with displaying Shopping Carts you have to add the domain to your URL. The navigation from POWL only works if you have a fully specified URL which contains the host and the domain name. If you call the portal with the following URL:
http://host.domain:port/irj/portal probably you will able to display the Shopping Cart.
This means, for navigation you have to add the domain to the URL.
I hope this helps,
Kind Regards,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for that elaborate response.
1. Our system alias in portal is SAP_SRM only.
2. We are indeed calling the portal with a fully specified URL ( http://sapsrmdev1.xxx.com:50000/irj/portal)
We are not switching protocol from http to https or vice-versa while calling backend systems from portal.
And yes when we try to open the ordered SC, we see a small message : javascript: void(0)
We are on Netweaver 7.01 (SP7). Do we need to upgrade?

Hi,
You can use the browser script debugger, this will tell you where and why the error is coming. In internet options, advanced, there are two flags, Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable Script Debugging (Other), they are normally both switched off because in the case of JS errors they would always then launch into script debugging
please also ensure the user has the correct roles to display this SC.
Kind Regards,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
The two flags, Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable Script Debugging (Other), were both switched on. I tried switching them off and checked again, but the same message persisted.
Hi Ganesh,
Why do we need to create an iview? It's a standard role in the portal. The same user has corresponding employee role in the backend.

HI Siva,
Have you tired accessing the shopping from the advanced search screen. Check if it works there.
If it works there and not in POWL then kindly raise a ticket as there no custonizing required for the same.

Sam
