Changes in UserID associated to a PERNR

Former Member

Hi,

I wanted to know if the UserID attached to a PERNR is ever changed to some other UserID in production system.

Are there any situations where the UserID associated with an active PERNR is changed to some other UserID?

Is this even a valid scenario?

Thanks

Ankur

Hi,

Yes , you can delimit the old user id and can use new one .

You asked if the scenario is valid. Example: In our installation we have 250 different companies. UserID is composed of companycode + initials (done in one of the userexits for HRUSER). Sometimes we have 2 companies merge, and the employees then change companycode but keep their pernr. In this scenario, they get a new userID.

But from your question it might seem like you have experienced a change of userID that you cannot explain? There is no change taking place without actively changing the records in IT0105.

Hi Kirsten,

Thanks for your response.

I got that there may be certain scenarios where userID may be changed.

But are you aware of any way through which we can capture the pernr whose userID has been changed.

Any FM or table through which we can check for this change?

Thanks Again

Hi,

You could turn on log on IT0105 subtype 0001. I am not aware of any other ways to catch the change.
