coded entry in order screen

Hi,

Is it possible to set any coded field in standard order screen. I want to enter some reason for delay of my maintenance in order. After that i want to analise the pending order based on the reason. is it possilbe to enter using catalog in maintenance order. If it is possible kindly reply me.

You can make use of user status of the order or use the system condition for the same
