PO number range

Now iam giving the number range for PO as 000001000 to 000099999 (my client needs only 6 digits)

Suppose if the number range reaches 999999

after that it will start from 1000????

how to solve this issue they need 6 digits only after this number range gets over how to give new number range now itself????

Pls guide me....

Hi,

The interval won't roll to the beginning automatically - you will get an error message as soon as the system tries to allocate a new no. over the upper limit. You can see this setting in trs SNRO, object EINKBELEG.

Hi,

How you can assign the same number again to that same PO doc type whose number is generated already.You cannot use the same number again and again as this is not year dependent.you have one option to create a PO doc type copying the existing and give the same NO. ID.

its not depend on fiscal year to repeat

you have to maintain it again once number range is cross limit

I do not think number range will repeat itself again. Moreover it will be within the range you have defined for your document type.

For your requirement you can do some research on TCode SNRO.

& now assign Number range numberu201D06u201D to your PO document type & save.

Number range should start from 1000 and upto 6 digits they can have thats why i have given as 0000001000 to 0000999999

Here my doubt is after implementation after few months say 6 months if the number range gets over then what will happen.

Again system wont allow to bring number range starting from 0000001000 to 0000999999

Pls guide me
