Deletion of Derivation Rule

Hi SAP Gurus,

I have maintained a derivation rule in transaction code KEDR. But lateon it was revailed that the rule is not correct, meanwhile a user has posted 1 document using this derivation rule.

My question is what should be done to delete the derivation rule? means, should I reverse the posted document and then create a new rule or should I simply need to delete the rule and this wont effect the posted document?

HI,

the clean soultion is:

1: reverse the document

2: delete the derivation rule

3: post the document again

This ensures that this particular document has the same chars derived as all the other docs. posted.

Depending on the source of the document it can be reversed and reposted in CO-PA only (use one of the KE4* T-codes to achieve that (billing docs KE4S, FI docs KE4SFI, MM docs KE4SMM or check KE4S00 T-code)).

If you dont want to correct the Old Posted document - You can delete the der rule straight away

Else, if you wanna correct it, then do as explained by Christian above
