Realigning Sales Office under a Different Sales Area

Currently the SAP system I am working with (Release 4.6C) does not support Delimiting the existing sales office assignment to a sales area and re-assigning to a new sales area. The only option I have is delete the current assignment and re-assign to a different sales area. If we want to retain the history; what is the best approach to handle this scenario? I do not want to assign the sales office to two different sales areas at any given point in time. Thanks for your help in advance.

Kapil, thanks for your response. I do understand the impact on deleting. So, if you want to realign under a different sales area, are you suggesting to retain the existing relationship and create another relationship? I am not sure that is the route we want to take. Please correct me if my understanding is not correct.

Hi,

If you delete previous assignment then all reports related to that sales office and sales area combination will not generate.

so keep assignment as it is.
