Integrating leave request application with Outlook calendar +

Former Member

Hi

Our client wants to integrate the leave request application with Outlook calendar and their reception system. Their idea is that when a leave has been approved, it should also be reflected in the employee's Outlook calendar as absence and in their reception system.

Is this possible? If so, can I find any articles and documentation about it?

Thanks in advance.

Kirsten

Yes without any hassles, duet is just a integration if the manager doesnt want to logon to the portal for approval

All employees still can use the ESS for requesting the leave request, With DUET, you get a mail and your calendar is synced

and other functionality as well.

Duet automatically sends the response to the employee's Inbox, updates all related calendars and submits the data to the SAP ERP application.

Thanks. Just one more question: Can we still keep using the leave application totally in the portal, and just have the result reflect in Outlook?

duet is developed with Microsoft and sap! Its a sap product for seamless integration

http://www.duet.com/duet/about/features/leave-management.aspx

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/duet-frequently-asked-questions-HP010153425.aspx

So if you need this talk to account executive they should be able to guide you, its pretty seamless integration

Yes you would need license for this

Good to hear from you, Siddharth. So the request is feasable using Duet then. I take it it will be dynamic, so if the employee changes his leave request, his Outlook calendar will be updated? We do not need the request to start or be handled in Outlook - we just need the result to show in his calendar.

Thanks. So the answer would be that this cannot be achieved without investing in a 3rd party software?
