Hi

Can anyone please point me in the right direction about downloading Business Objects Data Services Designer (Client)? I am trying to search for this under SAP software downloads and could not find it.

Thanks for your response. I have now downloaded the software. When trying to install, it asks for a product key. Is it not just a client installation like SAP GUI?

Hi Simon,

A key is required when installing any Data Services component. Below are two knowledge base articles (like Notes) that will assist you in requesting a permanent license key or acquiring a temporary license key.

Hi Simon,

These steps assume you are looking for a 3.2 Designer.

To download Data Services Designer do the following:

1) Log in to [http://service.sap.com/bosap-support|http://service.sap.com/bosap-support].

2) Locate the Download Software & Directories section.

3) Click Browse SAP BusinessObjects Downloads: Installations, Upgrades and Support Packages.

4) Click Support Packages and Patches.

5) Click SBOP DATA SERVICES.

6) Click BOBJ DATA SERVICES XI 3.2.

7) Click Comprised Software Component Versions.

😎 Click BOBJ DATA SERVICES XI 3.2.

9) For Designer, click Win32.

10) Locate the applicable DATA SERVICES XI 3.2 (12.2.x.x) (CLIENT) listing.

The installer will allow you to select/deselect components to install. Therefore, you will be able to just install Designer if that's the goal.
