Shorten Fiscal Year

Hi,

We need some clarification on fiscal year.Currently we have Fiscal Year Variant V3 (Having 12 Months from April to March of next year):

1.Does SAP allows to have Fiscal Year of more than 12 calandar months ,say 15 calandar Month (In our case April 10 to June 11)

2.Can we have consecutively shorten fiscal year? For Example:

April 11 to June11, and

July11 to Mar12

3.Modules affected by Change

Would appreciate for input.

Hi, please ask one question per treat.

You can use 12+4 special periods. And you can use shorten fiscal year, but it's year depended. Please refer to help.sap.com for more info

Thanks for response.

We are not looking for 12+4 special periods. We are looking for 15 normal periods covering April2010 to June 2011.

We can have shorten fiscal year,but question is If we can have 2 shorten years consecutively.

Hi, yes you can. You need to specify non calendar fiscal year, and assignments between calendar year-fiscal year.

Eg

1 motnth day from 1 to 15 - 1 month of fiscalyear etc
