Export to Excel via BEx Broadcast

Hi Experts,

in my BEx Broadcasting in output format list I have only tree values: html, mhtml, url link. This works fine.

I'd like to export my BEx reports (queries, not workbooks) to xls format. Do I need to install precalculation server to get other options (xls, pdf)?

Or why xls and pdf aren't in my output format list. What to do?

I appriciate any advice.

Hi,

In Broadcasting the available options are HTML, MHTML.

But the Report can also be viewed in Excel: Right click the file documents -> e,g. QUERY_TEMPLATE_BROADCASTING_00001.htm (the folder where your files are saved) select the u201Copen withu201D option and then select u201CExcelu201D option.

You can also run the report on Web and do Export To Excel or CSV, as required.

Thank you for your answers,

but what I need to do is automaticaly generate XLS files for our users/customers. Users won't be satisfied with HTML opened by excel and they request to get the files via email, not by download link on the web.

You are using the 3.x broadcaster, thats why you are only having the 3option .

You can use Broadcaster 7.x to get more options.
