Item Category for Services TAD, TAX or any other

Hi Guys,

I have been trying to figure out which item category will be suitable for services. I came across two of the options.

1. TAD - Service with delivery

2. TAX - Service without Delivery

I am still not clear in which situations should i use either of them..

Is it possible for someone to provide with some examples for both the scenarios. Or if there are any other service category that I should be aware of for services?

Hi

If you select TAD, you will have to do PGI (delivery)

If it is TAX then its only sales order and billing.

Eg: if we use any material for service which has to be charged to customer then its delivery related if its is just a service like repair then there is no delivery but just billing.

The material type for this will be DIEN.

Any doubts do revert

Thanks for the Reply.

But If services where materials are changed or added.. then these materials can also be added in the order as standard items right?

Why do we need to go for services then?

and also if i am right using TAD as item category says no schedule lines or invnetory. then how do we know the material going to be used in the service is available or not?
