CO object missing during PGI

Former Member

Hi,

We have Accounting based CO-PA. I have created COGS GL account as Cost element.

While trying to post one goods issue, I am getting the followling error

"Account 401272 requires an assignment to a CO object

Message no. KI235

Diagnosis

You have not defined a CO account assignment for an account that is relevant to cost accounting.

System Response

Account 401272 is defined as a cost element.

This means that you must always specify a CO account assignment"

Some one help me in understanding this problem. I am getting this error for only one PGI. We have posted many PGI without any error

Thanks in Advance,

Muneer Ahamed N

Hi Ajay,

Currently KSV Requirement type is used and the Account assignment category is blank.

I don't understand why it is asking for CO object for this PGI alone. Is there anything to be checked in Sales Order for this behaviour.

Hi

Your settings dont seem to be correct to me.. Try with the settings I mentioned above i.e.

Create Req Type ZKS - Use a Req Class in which you use an AAC which have V in the Cons Posting Field in OME9

The settings you have done represent MTS scenario.. In this case, GBB-VAX in OBYC should not have a Cost element

The cost element COGS required in Acct Based COPA must be in GBB-VAY

Dear,

First of all COGS should not be a Cost Element in all cases... Pls read the below link (Ajay's Siolution).

Even though you want maintain the COGS as Cost element....

Maintain the setting in OKB9.

Hi Balaji & Others

COGS is created as a cost element if you are using Account Based COPA... In Costing based COPA, it is not created as Cost ele

In this case, I guess you need to manage your Requirement Class Settings... In my opinion, use an Account Assignment Category (AAC) in Req Class and this AAC should have "Consumpion Posting" Field as V in OME9

Try this if it works
